The lecture was titled, "Keeping Body Awareness in Mind: Top-Down Modulation of Sensorimotor Brain Rhythms as a Therapeutic Mechanism." Other plenary speakers included Dr. Michael Merzenich (UCSF) and Professor Alva Noe (UC Berkeley).
In September, Dr. Kerr received a gran from the Mind and Life Foundation to convene a small national meeting of scientists to develop a research agenda for studying interoceptive awareness and contemplative practice. The conference will be the first to be heldat the Mind and Life House in Amherst (MA).
